The company Bareos GmbH & Co. KG was founded to provide the conditions for a secured further development for software of the same name as open source and to provide the know-how to you for operating your backup software smoothly.
In additon to the product development the services offered by the company are training, as well as a comprehensive subscription and support model. Sales of subscriptions and professional services like onsite integration are performed by Bareos GmbH & Co. KG in collaboration with certified partners.
Bareos was created by the Bacula community veteran Marco van Wieringen and Bacula book author Philipp Storz together with other enthusiastic developers who have many years of experience in the open source environment.
