On September 29th and 30th, 2015, an international audience will meet again at the Open Source Backup Conference on Bareos. The event organized by dass IT and the Nuremberg based open source expert NETWAYS, will take place for the seventh time. The entire program is now determined.
Nuremberg, 2015 June 25th
Since 2009, the annual conference offers a broad range of talks about open source backup and provides the opportunity to swap ideas with other members of the community. The program is focused on the free backup software Bareos and combines talks for beginners and presentations for advanced administrators.
Among this year´s speakers are Philipp Storz and Stephan Dühr. As one of the minds of the Bareos Project, Philipp Storz will dedicate himself to the backup of VMware snapshots with Bareos. Stephan Dühr, one of the persons mainly responsible for the development of the plugin, will make the presentation together with him.
Alberto Giménez, SysOps Engineer at the Spanish systems engineering service provider CAPSiDE, will report on how AWS Virtual Tape Library can be used to cache Bacula backups and to buffer them on S3 and Glacier.
Marco Weiss, CEO at the der Kessler company, will combine git, salt and Bareos in a live demo.
Further speakers are Stefan Neff, Daniel Neuberger, Christoph Mitasch und Niels de Vos will be there.
